Five from Red Oak sign Division I letters; Life's Jalen Mann inks with Incarnate Word

Wednesday was a huge day at Red Oak High School as five football players signed letters of intent to continue their careers. Wide receiver Raymond Gay Jr. signed with Oklahoma State; linebacker Jackson Bailey signed with Arizona; cornerback Darius Jackson signed with Missouri; linebacker Devin Steen signed with Central Arkansas; and defensive lineman John Mathis signed with Sam Houston State. The Hawks traveled to Big Spring on Friday to take on El Paso Del Valle in the area round of the Class 5A Division I playoffs.

Mann’s senior season was limited by injury, but he finished with 422 total yards and five combined touchdowns in six games and was the team’s leading scorer with 32 total points. Mann was first-team all-district as a junior.
