Maypearl ISD gives recognitions

Maypearl Lions Club, First Baptist Church cited by trustees for service to district

Members of the First Baptist Church of Maypearl who provide snack food for the weekends to several MISD students each week were recognized for their ministry which has averaged supplying food to 35 students for the past three years.  Those recognized were (left to right) Nikki Camp, Adele Mooney, Sherry Hodges, Board President Justin Stinson, and David Hodges. The recognition was during the regular monthly meeting of the Maypearl School Board on Thursday, Aug. 27. Also recognized were members of the Oaks Fellowship church who recently repainted the visitor-side stadium at W.G. Roesler field on the Maypearl campus.
The Maypearl Lions Club was recognized by the Maypearl ISD board of trustees for their service in providing free vision screening and eyeglasses to Maypearl students over the past years. Present were (left to right) Lions Yola Stubblefield, Nikki Camp, and Adele Mooney. Presenting the award was Maypearl School Board President, Justin Stinson.
