Conjunction junction

Planets make closest apparent approach in 800 years

Daily Light report
Jupiter and Saturn (to the right and below the moon) approach their Great Conjunction in a photo taken on a clear Saturday evening in Ferris. James Luckett took the photo from his back porch using a Canon G7 camera. The conjunction, which was to peak Monday night, is the closest apparent alignment by the two planets in 800 years and coincides with the winter solstice.
