PALMER — The Bulldogs continued to roll through their non-district schedule, scoring at least 50 points for the second time and 40 or more for the third time in three games.

On Friday, the Bulldogs managed 50 points in the first half alone as they marched on to a 56-3 Homecoming win.

The Bulldogs’ first points came on a 65-yard touchdown run by Kyle Toumbs early in the first quarter.

Jordan Greenlee followed with a 6-yard touchdown run that gave the Bulldogs a 14-0 lead.

T.J. Barnes scored on a 37-yard pass from Jarrett Stone to close the first quarter scoring with Palmer holding a 20-0 lead.

In the second quarter, Stone started things off with a 1-yard touchdown run.

Stone then threw two touchdown passes — one to Barnes for 43 yards and one to Toumbs for 13.

The first half ended with Stone running 59 yards for his fifth touchdown of the first half, fourth of the second quarter.

Palmer relaxed in the third quarter and allowed Rice to kick of 34-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to cut the Bulldogs’ lead to 50-3.

Late in the fourth quarter, Greenlee scored on a 1-yard run to close the scoring at 56-3.

The Bulldogs accumulated 473 yards of offense, including 324 on the ground.

Palmer will be at Eustace next Friday for a 7:30 kickoff against the 3A school.
