ENNIS — Ennis went into Friday’s game as underdogs against unbeaten Lancaster.

However, the Lions proved everyone wrong. Coach Sam Harrell promised they would be better after last week’s loss, and they were in a 31-9 win over the Tigers.

After a forced fumble by the defense with 8:58 left in the first quarter, Deonte McDade picked up where he left off last week, scoring on a 38-yard run with just over seven minutes left.

It was all Ennis from there.

The defense only gave up three points in the first half as the Lions held a 10-3 lead at the break.

Ennis scored again in the third quarter on a 3-yard run by mcDade. The offense totally dominated the third quarter.

Lancaster managed a touchdown in the fourth quarter on a 15-yard pass.

McDade capped off the night with an 85-yard run. he finished the night with 249 yards on 21 carries. The Lions are now 3-2 overall and 1-0 in district.
