Midlothian went in search of its first district win Tuesday, but first place and undefeated Arlington Seguin jumped out to an early lead and cruised to a 46-30 win.

Seguin took a 20-8 lead by the end of the first quarter and led 31-14 by halftime.

Midlothianís defense stepped up in the second half and held Seguin to just 15 total points while the Lady Panthers scored 16.

Rachel Walters led Midlothian with eight points while Anastasia Tucker had a game-high 14 for Seguin.

Lancaster 74, Ennis 54

Coming off last Fridayís loss to Waxahachie, the Ennis Lady Lions were in need of an upset win over second place Lancaster to give themselves some breathing room again.

Ennis hung with Lancaster throughout the first half as the Lady Tigers led 36-29 at halftime.

The third quarter proved to be too much for Ennis to overcome though as Lancaster outscored the Lady Lions 19-10 to extend its lead to 55-39 as the teams headed into the third quarter.

Lancaster continued to pour it on in the fourth with 19 more points to close out a 20-point win, 74-54.

Shabrina McAdams and Sharna Polk were the only Lady Lions in double figures with 17 and 10 points respectively.
