WAXAHACHIE — Head Coach Seth Riley and the Indians are rolling.
They're doing it with 12 games of dominating soccer, too.
Waxahachie High School shutout Lancaster High School 6-0 at Stuart B. Lumpkins Stadium and earned its 12th win of the season and fifth in district play.
The (12-0-1, 5-0-1) Indians hold a one-game lead over second-place Mansfield Lake Ridge High School (7-1-4, 4-1-1) and two games over Midlothian High School (10-3-0, 4-2-0) in the District 10-5A standings.
Senior goalkeeper Kade Tomlinson and Waxahachie have allowed the fewest goals in the district (2). Mansfield Lake Ridge (3), Midlothian (7) and fourth place Mansfield Summit High School (8) are second, third and fourth.
They are second behind Midlothian in goals scored with 16.
To remain the lone undefeated team in the district, the Indians defeated the Tigers behind goals from Edgar Nava (2), Zane Walker, Gama Chavez and Kevin Graciano. Rolando Nieto (2) and Ryan Hay added assists during the matchup.
Waxahachie will play regionally ranked Mansfield Lake Ridge at 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Stuart B. Lumpkins Stadium.
