The Texas Christian University athletics department announced that Raegan Pebley, the Lady Horned Frogs head women’s basketball coach, will serve as a color analyst on TV telecasts the Dallas Wings inaugural WNBA season.

Pebley made her debut with veteran play-by-play personality Ron Thulin at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday during Wings’ home game against the San Antonio Stars on FOX Sports Net and NBA TV.

“We are so excited about the Wings coming to DFW,” Pebley said. “The addition of the WNBA to the Metroplex is something we want to embrace and support in any way possible. It’s so special to be part of the first and now the 20th year of the WNBA. The league has inspired and validated a lot of little girls’ dreams, mine included.”

Pebley, a 6-foot and 4-inch former forward and University of Colorado graduate, was a third-round pick of the Utah Starzz in the inaugural 1997 WNBA draft and played two seasons with the Starzz and Cleveland Rockers.

During two seasons under Pebley, the Horned Frogs were 28-17 overall and 11-9 in the Big 12 Conference and made consecutive postseason appearances. This year’s recruiting class, highlighted by McDonald’s All-American Amber Ramirez, is ranked seventh nationally by
