Members of the Red Oak Hawks varsity baseball team (above) shake hands with younger players as their teams were announced. Sean Kelly, the (ROBSA) Red Oak Baseball Softball Association’s vice president, also spoke about the upcoming $17.7 million athletic bond election and how the bond will pay for a new park, which would include athletic facilities that will benefit the youth of Red Oak and surrounding areas. The ROBSA kicked off its spring season on Saturday at Lindsey Park and watched more than 400 athletes flood the park to participate in the youth T-Ball, baseball and softball’s Opening Day ceremonies.
