Rebekah Alyssa Turner went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 17, 2008. She was born Sept. 8, 1988, in Waxahachie, Texas, to Bob and Laura Turner. She attended school in Midway School District, in Hewitt, Texas, through ninth grade. She transferred to Waxahachie High School and received her diploma in 2007. Alyssa entered the registered nursing program at Navarro College in the fall 2007. She was employed by Sylvan Learning Center.

She is survived by her father, Bobby S. Turner Jr. of Waco, Texas; her mother, Laura Turner of Waxahachie, Texas; sister, Ande McClain and her husband, Matt; beloved niece McKenna McClain of Waxahachie, Texas; and sister, Catalina Turner of Waco, Texas.  She is also survived by her grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. David P. Fearis III of Waxahachie, Texas; grandmother, Margaret Turner of Waco, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Bobby S. Turner Sr., and maternal grandmother, Audrey Beets Fearis.

The family received friends and relatives from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 21, at Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie, Texas.

The celebration of her life was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at Midlothian Bible Church, 4250 Farm-to-Market 663, Midlothian, Texas, with the Revs. Tim Wallace and Rob Boyd officiating. Interment followed at Waxahachie City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Matt McClain, Garrison Fearis, Galen Fearis, Kent Oglesby, Chase Caruthers and Trey Hack.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Citizens National Bank of Texas, Alyssa Turner Memorial Fund.
