Connie Aubrey Doyle

Connie Aubrey Doyle went to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 12, 2021. He was born November 14, 1931, in Ellis County, Texas to the parents of John Henry Doyle and Adeliah Carolyn Doyle. He was preceded by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

His early schooling was in a one room schoolhouse in Orzo, Texas. He said that is where he learned to "read and write". The family moved to Waxahachie in 1941 and he was a graduate of Waxahachie High School.

Connie was employed by Texas Power and Light, and later by Texas Utilities, for 35 years. He retired in 1986. At that time, he started training horses. They raced in Texas, New Mexico, and Louisiana.

Connie served a four-year term as County Commissioner of Precinct 3, Ellis County. He enjoyed the work and helping to identify and serve the needs of the citizens of Ellis County. He prized his responsibility as a citizen and voted in every election.

Connie was a member of the Grand Lodge of Texas and a Master Mason in good standing of Waxahachie No. 90. He was in his 69th year in the lodge. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Connie was an active member of Ellis County Ducks Unlimited. He served on the Board of Directors and worked with member of the conservation organization.

Connie and his wife, Radora, enjoyed travelling and went of cruises to Alaska, Europe, the Black Sea area, Central America, and the Caribbean Sea area. They spent much time at a second home in New Mexico.

Donnie Doyle is survived by his wife, Radora Doyle.

Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, December 16, 2021, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Boze Mitchell McKibbin Funeral Home Chapel in Waxahachie.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 16,2021 at 11:00 AM, also at Boze Mitchell McKibbin Chapel in Waxahachie.

Arrangements are under the direction of Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home, 511 West Main Street, Waxahachie, Texas.
