Donald Eugene Lute
Waxahachie - Donald Eugene Lute, youngest of three siblings. He was born September 14, 1960 to Jeannine Joyce and William Harold Lute in Dallas, Texas. Donald grew up in South Oak Cliff and Red Oak, Texas. Donald attended Red Oak High School following his brother David and sister Kelly. Donald was known to be a very talented artist and loved all outdoor activities. He was also a big fand of the Dallas Cowboys winning or losing.
As a young man he married his high school sweetheart, Lori Hill in 1980. Had a daughter Kerri Lynn in 1984, then a son, Clinton Kyle Lute in 1989. Although the marriage ended in 1993, and suffering the loss of their young son Clinton Kyle Lute that same year. Donald and Lori continued to work together to raise their daughter Kerri Lynn.
In 1992 Donald started working as a web designer for the D.O.D., Army Air Force exchange service. In 1994 while working at the Army Exchange, he met and married Sandra Lee Lute, and moved their blended family to Cedar Hill, Texas. During his time at the Army Exchange, he completed one tour in Iraq during Iraq freedom. Donald also received a Master's degree in Business Management. Graduating magna cum laude from Northwood University in 2003.
During the 20-year marriage, they would take Kerri and Sandra's daughter Jenifer on many family vacations. Also, throughout the marriage they shared many loves, and interests together. Including camping, hiking, water sports and much more. In the late years they found the love of riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. Once step-daughter, Jennifer, gave birth to their first grandson, Gabe. Donald instantly and naturally stepped into the role of being a wonderful and dedicated grandfather. Once the marriage dissolved, Donald remained in contact and remained friends with Sandra, Jennifer, and Gabe.
In 2009, daughter Kerri, married Justin Rudd, giving him 2 wonderful step-grandchildren, Rayney and Wyatt. That same year, daughter, Kerri gave birth to Donald's second grandson. Kyle Rea Rudd. Once again Donald slipped on his Papa shoes and proved to go above and beyond as an adoring, spoiling and totally devoted grandfather. Anyone who knew Donald, knew that stories and pictures, were going to be the center of conversation. He loved his grandkids more than anything. As spending any available moment, he could with them. Teaching them, playing with them, and giving them anything they wanted. Even if mom and dad said no, his world revolved around them.
In 2016 Donald retired from the Army Exchange and moved to be close to his daughter and grandchildren, and to spoil them that much more. To know Donald, was to love him. He was sweet, kind, and thoughtful. This was a caring man that will be greatly missed.

Donald, while on this earth, lived a meaningful full life with so many who loved him. For those of us left behind, he would want you to remember all the great times each of you shared. This is not goodbye, but until next time we are together again.
