Rosemary Wilkins Galloway Loftis

Waxahachie - Rosemary Wilkins Galloway Loftis was born on December 16, 1937 in Waxahachie, Texas to Otto and Mary Seay Wilkins. Rosemary attended Waxahachie High School and graduated a year early with the Class of 1955. She was a member of the Bobby Sox Quartet from grade school thru high school. Her classmates from the classes of 1955 & 1956 were always dear to her heart and she loved planning her reunions and being a part of the WHS Ex-Students Association. Rosemary served as president in 1997 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2002.

In 1958 Rosemary went to work for Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company in Dallas and retired after 30 years of service. Rosemary loved singing gospel music and some of her favorite times were with her brother James Seay playing the piano and singing. Rosemary sang in church choirs for over 50 years and was also in the Rudolph Snider Gospel Singers. Rosemary was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her sons Doyle Junkin and wife, Patti and Judson Galloway and wife, Emily. Grandsons, Dustin Junkin and wife, Shelby, Derek Junkin and wife, Lacy, J.W. Galloway, Jonathan Galloway and Michael Galloway, granddaughter, Addyson Stewart, sister in law, Ruth Wilkins and nephew Kevin Wilkins and wife Carla.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Mary Wilkins, her brother, James Seay Wilkins, and her husbands, Gerald Galloway and J.A. Loftis, Jr.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 10:00 am at Boze Mitchell McKibben Funeral Home.

Services to celebrate Rosemary's life will follow at 11:00 am. A private family burial will be held at Sardis Cemetery, Sardis, TX.
