Mary Allyne (Bratcher) Carroll

Waxahachie - Mary Allyne (Bratcher) Carroll passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021, at her home in Waxahachie, Texas.

Graveside Service: 2 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2021, in Greenwood Memorial Park, Fort Worth.

She was born Nov. 23,1919 in Waxahachie, Ellis County, Texas to Emmett Haynes Bratcher and Mary Aldia (Pardu) Bratcher.

Allyne attended school in Waxahachie, studied Fashion Design at Denver University and lnterior Design at Texas University. She lived a few years in Kansas, but returned home to Waxahachie where she restored many homes and gardens where she planted many roses, as gardening was one of her most favorite hobbies. She was involved in animal shelters and on many occasions adopted those she could not resist. For most of her life she always had at least one or two toy poodles in her home. Allyne was a member and attended First Baptist Church in Waxahachie.

ln later years, God brought Maurice Walton Carroll into her life, and they were very happily married on June 9, 2007. With that marriage, she inherited even more members to her family with his three sons; Maurice Carroll lll and wife, Sherry; Richard Carroll and wife, Judy, and six grandchildren from Arlington, Texas; Randy Carroll and Kathy from Lubbock, Texas; six granddaughters; Laura Green and four great-grandchildren, Daniel, Michele, Victoria, and Elizabeth, all of Broomfield, Colorado; Melinda DeRuix and husband, David, and seven great-grandchildren, Alexander, Tatiana, Sophia, Mikala, Jon Luc, Alicia and lsabell, all of King George, Virginia; Kimberely Ballard of Longmont, Colorado; Piaget Huett and great-granddaughter, Sinea and great-grandson, Jaden Taylor of Dallas; Dominique Huett of New York, New York; and Kristen Huett of Arlington, Texas; sister-in-law, Doris Bratcher of Waxahachie, Texas; niece, Nancy Brown of Clute, Texas; nephew, William Ratcliff of Waxahachie; and her closest friends, Ross Earl Reynolds, who was like a son to her, and Deborah Myers and Sally Anderson, who were like daughters to her.

Allyne was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, William Michael and Ronald John Huett; and brother, Horace Bratcher.

We will all miss this wonderful woman of love, faith, beauty, grace, hospitality, wisdom and generosity, who impacted each one of our lives so dramatically.
