Pedro Pinon was born on August 7, 1953 in Roswell, New Mexico to Cresencio and Gavina (Flores) Piñon.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Estela Piñon; children, Heidi Marie Serrano and husband Samuel, Peter Efrain Piñon and wife Lindsay, Estela Jessica Currid and husband Dominic; grandchildren, Sammy, Jude, Ben, Micah, Levi, Paxton, Piers, Lela and Pace.
Pedro's highest calling was to be a husband, father, and grandfather. He was a loving brother and pillar for his siblings: Ester Moreno, Elena Vasquez, Daniel Piñon, Rufina Guerrero, Anita Martinez, Lucy Castillo, and Catalina Morton. He was also a faithful pastor for over 40 years pastoring 4 different Texas churches.
He was dedicated to serving his community as a member of University Church, a Building Inspector for the City of Waxahachie, a board member at FirstLook Clinic, and an active member of the Ellis County Republican Party.
In his spare time, he enjoyed studying the Bible, writing poetry, gardening as a Master Gardener, finding hidden treasures to transform into works of art, and, most of all, playing with his grandchildren.
A Celebration Service is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the Oaks Church in Red Oak.
