Jose Posas, 75, of Waxahachie passed away Tuesday evening, Feb. 8, 2011, at Pleasant Manor Health and Rehab. He was born May 29, 1935, in Lyford, Texas, to Juan Jose and Florinda F. Posas. Jose grew up on the King’s ranch, where he farmed and hunted. He loved working on cars, loved to cook and was a wood craftsman. Jose was a loving father and grandfather.

Survivors include three sons, Joe Posas and wife, Rosemary of Frisco, LeRoy Posas and wife, Kelly of Waxahachie and Eddie Posas and wife, Evelyn of Cedar Hill; two daughters, Corina Infante and husband, Martin of Waxahachie and Rosanna Solis and husband, David of Lake Worth; four sisters, Queta Sias and husband, Mingo of Waxahachie, Licha Hacker of McAllen, Juanita Salazar and husband, Lupe of McAllen and Lydia Salinas and husband, Alberto of Edenburg; and 12 grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eduvina Posas; and brother-in-law, Albert Hacker.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at Bible Baptist Church, 1400 FM 1446, Waxahachie, TX 75167 with Pastor Todd Grimes officiating.
