VENUS - Dale Watts, 62, of Venus passed away on Monday, July 30, 2007, at his residence. He was born on April 15, 1945, in Norfolk, Va., to the late Herbert Dale and Josephine Norton Watts.
Dale was a retired race car driver, which he loved for 20 years. He was fun, loving and could always make you laugh. Dale loved to work around his house. He was a big Dallas Cowboy fan and also enjoyed baseball and dancing. Dale leaves behind so many friends and family that will truly miss him and always love him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Vicky Watts of Venus; sons, Richard Watts and his wife, Becky of Va., William Banner of Ariz., Joshua Banner of Ariz., Jimmy Reed of Colorado; daughters, Jackie Lawrence and her husband, Jim of Norfolk, Va., Kim Vorron and her husband, Joshua of Venus, Michelle Reed of Colo.; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brothers, Tommy Watts and his wife, Juanita of Okla., Charlie Watts and his wife, Shauna of Pa.; sister, Faye Leggett and her husband, James of Okla.; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2007, at the Clayton Kay-Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel of Alvarado. Private graveside services were held at the Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery.
Visitation with the family was held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, 2007, at the funeral Home.
