Charles Scott Kirk, a life-long resident of Waxahachie, passed away on Wednesday, May 27th, 2020 after a long battle with heart disease.
Scott was born on November 21st, 1962 in Dallas, Texas to Charles Roy and Claire Elaine McKay Kirk. The family moved to the farm on Jones' Acres when he was 3 years old.
Scott was an avid outdoorsman and a country boy at heart. He loved hunting for arrowheads and camping out. He was a good guitarist, playing in several local bands throughout his lifetime, and loved to write songs about his adventures. He was lovingly known by his childhood nickname, "Stump".
Scott leaves behind one sister, Robin Kirk Fox, and her husband Alan of Waxahachie, and numerous friends and relations. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
At his request, Scott will be cremated and scattered in his favorite spot by his loving friends at a later date.
