John William “Jay” LaForge, 52, of Ennis, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016. He was born on Oct. 17, 1963 to Robert and Barbara (Sibilla) LaForge in Port Huron, Michigan. He was a police officer for four years with the Rice Police Department, and with the Navarro County Sheriff Department for three years. He served with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, where he obtained the rank of Lieutenant. He retired after serving 18 years in 2012. He loved to be outdoors camping, fishing, traveling and his passion was riding his motorcycle.
Left to cherish his memories is his sons, Emmanuel John “E.J.” LaForge and Anthony Robert LaForge of Ennis; brother, Robert Bernard LaForge and wife Diane of Port Huron, Michigan; sister, Micky LaForge of Woodlands; nephews, Jonathon, Matthew and Michael LaForge; nieces, Sarah and Rachel LaForge. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert LaForge and Barbara (Sibilla) LaForge.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Foundation of Life Church, 2003 E Ennis Ave, Ennis, Texas 75119 with Pastor Raymond Richardson officiating.
