Don Swaim, 74, of Red Oak, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016 in Dallas. He was born May 31, 1941 to Lewis Atkinson Swaim and Nancy Elizabeth Swaim in Washington D.C. Don was a welder by trade. He married Pemelia on March 2, 1992 in Waxahachie. He was a kind, gentle loving man and loved by so many.
He is survived by his wife Pemelia Swaim of Red Oak; daughter, Elizabeth Robertson and husband Jessie of Silsbee, Texas; son, Russell Swaim and wife Jennifer of Joaquin, Texas; grandchildren, Tori Gonzales, Michael Robertson and wife Megan, Jessica Robertson and Robert Hataway, Jeremy Robertson, Shelby Swaim, Celena Swaim; great-grandchildren, Sjohn Moody and Kya Moody; and his pet Shadow.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2016 in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home with Alan Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at the Italy Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Tony Rutigliano, Raffael Rutigliano, Ed Powell, Damien Power, Andy Dodd and Jeffrey Eggleston.
