More rains and severe thunderstorms are expected through most of Texas on Saturday and into the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
In West Texas, skies were forecast to be partly cloudy, bringing a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Some of those thunderstorms may produce large hail and damaging winds. Highs should be in the upper 70s and lows should be in the upper 40s. Winds from the east of 15 to 25 mph were predicted.
Skies are expected to be mostly cloudy in Southeast Texas, with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs should be in the mid-80s and lows should be in the mid-60s.
In North Texas, conditions are forecast to be mostly sunny, with highs in the upper 70s. Showers and thunderstorms are expected in the region. Lows should be in the lower 50s.
