Waxahachie ISD has set up an on-line prepayment service to provide parents a convenient, easy and secure way of paying for their child’s meals at school.

The service is provided through MyNutrikids.com, which can be accessed via the WISD’s Web site’s home page. The system allows for parents to make convenient payments any time and check account balances.

Parents also will be able to print out a copy of their child’s eating history - complete with dates and times the child purchased breakfast or lunch during the previous 30 days.

“We are very excited to offer these new services to our students and parents,” said Rhonda Bridges, director of child nutrition. “The online lunch payment system will assist our parents in making life a little less stressful when getting their children ready for school in the morning. More than 200 parents have already signed up for the service and it is working beautifully.”

To access the online lunch payment system, go to the district’s Web site, www.wisd.org, and click on “On-line Lunch Payment System.”

The link will connect to the MyNutrikids.com Web site, where parents will create an account and add money to their child’s school meal account. All parents will need is their child’s name, student ID number and school zip code.

For parents who have more than one child in the district, all online prepayments can be made from the same online account.

Payments may be made through an existing PayPal account or with a major credit or debit card.

A convenience fee of $1.75 is charged per deposit transaction, but Waxahachie ISD does not profit from the use of this site. Parents placing money into multiple meal accounts will be assessed the $1.75 fee only once.

For parents who would rather make payments via check or cash, the district is continuing to accept those forms of payment.

“The launch of the online payment system is another way we are reaching out to our parents and students,” Bridges said. “We believe that by providing this service to our community, we are making life a little easier in a world that is already filled with so many demands for our time.”
