FERRIS - City council members met Tuesday night for a workshop session to hear a presentation from CareFlite Emergency Medical Services.
On behalf of CareFlite, Jim Swartz made a proposal to provide emergency medical and transport services in the city of Ferris and the fire district. Also discussed were the existing budget and services provided by the city.
Swartz said he thought the city and council would be pleased with the offer CareFlite Inc. was prepared to make in providing these services.
“Our company desires to establish a base presence in the area in order to compete for services in nearby cities,” Swartz said. “To the best of my knowledge, CareFlite has an excellent reputation for providing ground EMS services. Their air services are legendary.”
No action was taken due to the meeting being a workshop session only.
