An Ellis County man has been arrested by Lewisville Police after he was allegedly found undressed with a 14-year-old boy on a boat at a Lake Lewisville marina.
John Matthew Hutto, 34, of Midlothian, was arrested on charges of indecency with a child Aug. 7 when he turned himself in to Lewisville Police.
Hutto was accompanied to the Lewisville police depatment by his attorney. Hutto posted a $10,000 bond following his arraignment that afternoon and was released.
“Our investigation started Aug. 2, when it was reported to us,” said Joni Eddy, assistant Chief of Police for the Lewisville Police Department. “The incident occurred on July 30 at Eagle Point Marina on Lewisville Lake.”
Eddy said the boy and his mother, who are from Coppell, allegedly met Hutto earlier in the day.
“The victim’s mother awoke about 2:30 a.m. and noticed her son was missing from the boat she was on,” said Eddy. “She said they were found together without clothes on another boat.”
Eddy pointed out being naked in front of a minor child other than your own constitutes indecency with a child.
Eddy said Lewisville Police turned the case over to the Denton County District Attorney on Tuesday.
Eddy said earlier this week that a court date has not been set for Hutto.
Hutto is a co-owner of seven child-care centers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including Children’s Palace in Midlothian.
The state’s child-care licensing division has asked Mr. Hutto not to be present at any of his centers
