Navarro College is offering free English as a second language courses for the 2006-2007 school year. Classes are offered from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday at Ennis High School, 1405 Lake Bardwell Drive, and from 5-8 p.m. Monday and Thursday at Waxahachie High School, 1000 N. U.S. Highway 77. Parents Without Partners meet at 10 a.m. the first Saturday and at 6:30 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at Hastings in Waxahachie. All single parents are invited to attend. Age of children is not a factor and custody of children is not a membership requirement. Prospective members are asked to bring the annual membership of $45 and the name and contact information of a professional reference who can verify their single parent status. Volunteers at the Trinity United Methodist Church are inviting everyone to visit their clothes closet, where clothes, shoes, and other items are available for needy families. The Cowboy Church of Ennis will have team roping at 7 p.m. every Tuesday. Hot dogs will be sold at the concession and are provided by the church’s youth group. Also, there will be practice barrels at 7 p.m. Thursdays.

The Cowboy Church of Ennis will have a men’s roundtable bible study at 7 p.m. every Monday. There will also be a men’s breakfast at 7 a.m. every Thursday at Denny’s.

Every Wednesday, Cowboy Church of Ennis hosts a girls high school bible study at 6 p.m., pre-teen kids bible study (grades 4-6) at 6 p.m., and youth group bible study (grades 7-12) at 7 p.m.

Helping Hands of Ennis Spirit of Sharing Thrift Store hours are from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday.
