The Waxahachie High School marching band will wash cars from 8-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, in the WHS front parking lot.
KBEC radio will be broadcasting from the carwash from 10 a.m.-noon, along with other special events throughout the day.
“The car wash has always been one of our most successful fund-raisers,” said Rich Armstrong, director of the WHS band. “Plus the students have the additional benefit of experiencing true community support. Since this is a state competition year, there will be additional marching competitions and expenses, so, we would definitely appreciate everyone that could come out and lend us a car to wash!”
Members of the community are being asked to bring their vehicles to the high school Saturday to have them washed. Funds are raised for the band through donations made for the car wash.
