The Waxahachie Chamber of Commerce held several ribbon cuttings for members on the week of Aug. 24.


According to Heidi Hood, the Chamber Marketing Manager, nine members joined in the month of August.


On Aug. 26., Port Horizon Thrift, celebrated their ribbon cutting with the Chamber.


"Well it’s going great, it’s going great. I get a lot of stuff for donations people just come and get it," Owner Marquis shared.


Port Horizon Thrift opened their business on July 3, during the pandemic and collaborated with Chamber member Glenn's Wharehouse Carpets during the process.


The thrift store is accessible on 301 N. College St.


Additionally, the Texas Clean Team LLC also celebrated a ribbon cutting after increasing the offering of their services to Ellis County during the pandemic.


"You guys are amazing - We so enjoyed celebrating you with your Ribbon Cutting this week!" shared the Chamber on Facebook.


The Texas Clean Team LLC is a part of the Chamber and BBB Accredited bonded and insured.

On Aug. 28, the Wild Rose Beauty Barn held their grand opening, participated in the Chamber ribbon cutting.


The family-owned business offers various services to the community.


"Everything from hair to nails and massages and styling classes PLUS live music, local art gallery, and lattes — this beauty barn is gonna be a hot spot in Hachie!" stated the Chamber of Commerce.
