The local Waxahachie restaurant Panza’s Tapping Italy has reopened after being closed for two weeks due to a family member’s exposure to COVID-19.

The restaurant first announced on its Facebook page that they were closing on July 9: "We are very sorry to say that we are temporarily closing for 2 weeks after a family member tested positive for covid-19."

They then announced their planned reopening: "We will be re-opening Wednesday, July 22, 2020. Hope to see you soon!" they stated.

Additionally, the Waxahachie Downtown Merchant Facebook page announced the reopening of the restaurant in a July 29 post.

Panza’s Tapping Italy is a small, family owned Italian specialty store that offers a variety of Italian products for cooking, along with a selection of Italian foods and pastries, Italian wines and olive oils and vinegars, according to its website.
