Beginning Aug. 10, the City of Waxahachie Streets Department will be making concrete road improvements on various road panels on April Lane, as well as the entry approach into April Lane.

"The city street crews are repairing some concrete pavement panels that are damaged along April Lane," said Director of Public Works & Engineering James Gaertner. "There is a section of damaged concrete by the entrance with a median. When this section of pavement is being replaced, there will be limited space for two-way traffic. One traffic lane will remain open at all times."

The Streets Department will begin work on the entry approach into April Lane. From 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., crews will be out from Monday through Friday. Repair work is scheduled to last about two weeks.

"The new pavement will be blocked for approximately two weeks to allow the concrete to cure. Thus, we were informing the residents to use caution and take turns going through this area," Gaertner shared.

All work listed above is pending the weather and is subject to change. For any questions or concerns, contact the Public Works Department by phone at 469-309-4300 or email .
