The week of May 18, Waxahachie High School will be honoring their senior graduates.

“This coming week we will be honoring seniors with varying events and surprises,” shared Tonya Harris, the school principal.

On Tuesday May 19, the school will be hosting a parade to celebrate the class of 2020. The parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. They encourage people that are wanting to participate in the event to get there at 5:30 p.m.

Additionally, the school created individual signs for their seniors, with their picture attached. “We have created individual signs for all of our seniors. These signs will be placed around our school and we ask that each senior find their during the parade, take a picture and tag us on Facebook.”

For the parade, Harris encourages each senior to share about themselves through their car decoration.

Harris wants every parent, teacher and administrator to come out and participate in this special event. Pokey o’s will be at the parade selling ice cream to attendees.

Additionally, on May 22 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Waxahachie High School will be passing out graduation packets to seniors near the career & technical education entrance.

Seniors must bring their student I.D. to receive their packet. Packets will include graduation tickets and instructions on graduation. Graduation cords will also be passed out during this time.
