For the first time in Waxahachie, there will be a tattoo convention hosted by the multi-local tattoo shop, Inkmasters, on the weekend of March 20.

Raymond Hernandez is the director of the show. Originally from Los Angeles, Hernandez found his love for the art there. He and Cyle Corse, who is the owner of the Inkmasters shop in Waxahachie, have partnered to make this show a reality throughout the years.

Hernandez started the Inkmasters show in 2009 in California and has since brought it to many states. Currently, he has more than five shows in Texas.

“We are trying to make it [the tattoo show] an annual thing in Waxahachie,” Hernandez said. “We are expecting about 1,500 people.”

This event will be from March 20-23. Attendees should expect live tattooing all week long by more than 100 tattoo artists.

The three days will be full of tattoos, piercings, temporary tattoos, face painting, food, beer, cocktails and two free tattoo giveaways each day.

Additionally, there will be various tattoo styles offered, from realistic to traditional or black and grey to color.

The event will be held at the Waxahachie Civic Center. Tickets will sold at the door. To get a $5 discount, attendees must get to the event before 5 p.m. on Friday.
