The Grammy Nominated musical group, Hermitage Piano Trio, is set to play at the SAGU Hagee Center on Feb. 29.

This event is being hosted by the Waxahachie Symphony Association (WSA).

The Hermitage Piano Trio, descent from the great Russian musical tradition, have been Grammy nominated three times. The group is made up of three musicians who are noted soloists. These soloist are: violinist Misha Keylin, cellist Sergey Antonov and pianist IIya Kazantsev.

The group recently signed a multiple-album recording deal with Reference Recordings, having their debut CD released in June 2019. This CD is comprised of the piano trios of Sergei Rachmaninoff: Trio élégiaque No. 1 in G minor; Trio élégiaque No. 2 in D minor, Op. 9; and Vocalise.

According to Waxahachie Symphony Association website, “WSA will also present its Young Artist Awards that evening to outstanding Ellis County graduating seniors for vocal and instrumental performance. Award winners receive scholarships from the WSA.”
