Paige Greenberg, member of two-time Texas Special Olympics cheerleading champion - Team Liberty Cheer Justice, was chosen to participate at an international meet on Feb. 8 in Orlando, Florida.
Participating with Team ParaCheer Spirit, an exhibition team, in a demonstration of Adaptive Abilities Game Day Cheer (a division in school cheerleading and Special Olympics Cheerleading), Paige was one of approximately 14,000 cheerleaders participating and competing at the National High School cheerleading competition.
After being asked for additional performances, ParaCheer became a crowd favorite and was awarded a gold medal.
Paige is a member of the Ellis County United Special Olympics delegation.
Ellis County United is a county-wide delegation for year-round support of athletic opportunities in several sports for individuals with disabilities.
