Students in the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America organization competed in the FCCLA Regional Conference on Feb. 14 in Waco, where four teams advanced to state.

The students who placed were awarded a combined total of $20,500 in scholarship money. Supporters are exceptionally proud of their performance and more so of how their skills have progressed and improved.

Students who qualified for FCCLA State Conference will travel to Dallas on April 2—4 to test their skills against competitors from across the state. WISD proudly supports these students, teachers, and organizations.

* Marks the second consecutive year WHS has taken 1st place in this event.

FCCLA serves students enrolled in CTE courses aligned with the hospitality and tourism career cluster. Participants enjoy the experience of applying classroom and laboratory lessons in hands-on activities and competitive events.
