May 3, 1955 - Jan. 23, 2020

Deborah “Debbe” Suzann Lackey passed away on Jan. 23, 2020. She was born on May 3, 1955, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, to her parents, Wesley and Rachel Bell.

Debbe was a very artsy and crafty woman who enjoyed crafts, sewing and painting. She loved Stephen King books and listening to Jimmy Buffett and Rod Stewart. She especially loved traveling with her husband Donald to places like the Caribbean, Colorado and the Grand Canyon.

Debbe was very involved throughout her community. She was a member of Brown Street Church of Christ, longtime preschool and Bible school teacher, Girl Scout troop leader and cookie coordinator for service Unit 251, and a PTO board member at Clift Elementary.

Debbe will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and loved ones.

She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Donald Lackey; daughter, Angie Gann and husband Jake; son, Michael Lackey; grandchildren, Rachel “Tobi” Tobias and Joshua Gann; aunt, Ruby Brier and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Debbe is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sharon Riggs.

Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, from 1-2 p.m. at Brown Street Church of Christ in Waxahachie. A Memorial Service will directly follow at 2 p.m.
