FirstLook is inviting the community to join in celebrating its 25th anniversary on February 7, commending the growth and success of the organization.

This clinic is Ellis County’s only no-charge sexual health and pregnancy center. Their mission is to lead Ellis County to embrace life by promoting best sexual health practices and giving family support through Biblical practices.

Throughout the years, FirstLook clinic has reached over 32,000 people in Ellis county.

According to a press release, Donna Young, CEO of FirstLook, said. “Envision 2020 is the future potential and promise for the people of Ellis County when our mission of ‘leading Ellis County to embrace Life by promoting best sexual health practices and providing family support in the name of Jesus Christ’ is successfully lived out each day.”

Young was contacted, but declined further comment.

This celebration will include guest speaker Jim Denison, Ph.D., the founder of Denison Forum, which is a nonprofit Christian media organization that comments on current issues from a Biblical standpoint.

Going into 2020, FirstLook will be rebranding with a new design to help reflect the care that the clinic brings to the community. The building will be in a 9,000 square foot center located on YMCA drive in Waxahachie.

Plans are also underway to have extended class offerings to support parent-education, additional exam and consultation rooms to reduce the wait for appointments.

Additionally, the agency is  looking into resources and services dedicated to further involve fathers.

By purchasing a ticket, guests are welcomed to a dinner and a glance at the organization's past accomplishments. Tickets may be purchased at for $50 each. The cost for an entire table is $400.
