Elivorio Florez, age 82, passed away on October 14, 2019. He was born in Seguin, Texas, on July 23, 1937, to his parents, Nicolas and Maria (Sandoval) Florez. He worked for Owens Corning, Howard Cotton Gin and retired from International Extrusion.
Elivorio was a family man who loved bragging on his grandchildren. He was an outdoorsman with a green thumb who enjoyed mowing his yard and taking care of his garden. He loved his coffee, roosters, cockfighting, country music, western movies, watching all sports, especially the Rangers, Astros, Cowboys and the White Sox. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family.
He is survived by his children, Irene Florez, Henry Florez and wife Amanda, Amanda (Florez) Lamb and husband Brad, Christopher Florez and wife Daniella; grandchildren, Giselle, Nickolas, Natalie and Evan; sisters, Carmen Cisneros, Geronima Florez, Marcelina Florez, Margaret Marroquin and Guadalupe Florez; brothers, Gilberto Florez, Rosendo Florez and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 35 years, Carolina Florez; granddaughter, Isabella Marie Florez; sisters, Carolina Quintero, Yolanda Florez and brother, Louis Florez.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2019, from 6 - 8 p.m. at Boze-Mitchell-Mckibbin Chapel in Waxahachie.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2019, at Boze-Mitchell-Mckibbin Chapel in Waxahachie. Interment will follow at Gateway Cemetery in Waxahachie.
