Harold Vineyard was born in Sherman, TX, to Willard R. Vineyard and Effie Edens. He passed away in his home September 18, 2019, at the age of 90.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Vonda, Merriwell, Billie, James, Jack and Evelyn Modene.
He is survived by his brother Jerald “Jerry” Vineyard of Phoenix, Arizona; sons Randy Vineyard of Waxahachie and Reed Vineyard of Houston; granddaughters Callie Crouse of Waxahachie; and Ashlyne Vineyard of Waco; Grandson Cole Vineyard of Waxahachie; great-grandchildren River, Cylas, and Carleigh; and his wife of 62 years, Jane Vineyard.
Harold served his country in the United States Navy as a radar operator in the Korean War, then as a civil servant at Perrin Air force base in Denison, TX. Later Harold joined his brother at Big A Auto in Ennis, TX, before starting his own auto parts store in downtown Waxahachie. Harold continued to work at NAPA auto parts up until the day before death.
Harold was a member of First United Methodist Church of Waxahachie. Harold’s final resting place will be at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
