Bob Morris Stafford, beloved husband, brother, uncle and cousin passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at his home on the ND Ranch in Waxahachie, Texas.
Bob was born April 23, 1949, in Paris, Texas to Clay and Kathleen Morris Stafford of Detroit, Texas. He was a graduate of Lee High School in Midland, Texas and attended Southwest State College of San Marcos. He married Frieda Gail Webster in 1971. They lived in Wimberly, Midland, Wichita Falls and San Angelo where Bob was in hotel management. In1980 they moved to the British Virgin Islands and owned and operated a scuba diving company, Underwater Safaris. Returning to Texas in 1994 they owned an ostrich and cattle ranch in Pinhook, Texas. Bob was a construction manager for Hamon Homes in McKinney, 1996-2002. Later Bob worked as an independent remodeling contractor; then worked for Northstar Antiques in Mansfield as their designer and builder of custom home furnishings. After retiring he became a sheep farmer on the ND Ranch.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife; his sister and her husband, Brenda and Crosby McDowell of Tucson, Arizona; brother and sisters-in-law, Dave & Jere Webster of Belton and Kathy & Mitch Spillar of Waxahachie. He will be missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at the ND Ranch in Waxahachie, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to a charity of your choice.
