Georgia Mae Mallett, age 93, passed away on June 17, 2019, in Hillsboro, Texas. She was born on April 20, 1926, in Kingsport, Texas, to her parents, George and Betty (Ward) Simpson. Georgia was a very strong, hard-working women. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Aux. Post – 3894. Georgia enjoyed reading, going to garage sales and vacationing. She will be missed by her family and loved ones.

Georgia is survived by her children, Phyllis Stroud and husband David, Patricia Mallett, Lena Taylor and husband Ralph Ledford, Jeffrey Mallett and wife Nettie; grandchildren, Melissa Litchfield, Debbie Everhart, Ashleigh Whitehead and Baylee Mallett; great-grandchildren, Dylan Harris, Jaida and Jenna Everhart, Cameron Litchfield, Louis Collins, Sara Collins, Robert and Dakota Burden and Macie Smith; sister, Minnie Staples; brother, Edward Ward and numerous family and loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, J.C. Mallett, parents; grandchildren, Melinda Hill, Emma Brown and son, Jay Lloyd Mallett.

Graveside service will be Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 10:30 AM at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
