Patrons who enjoy a Honey Hush at Railport Brewing Co. on Saturday will have the opportunity to give back to the local community.

United Way of West Ellis County is hosting its first-ever "Pop Up Giving" event that will feature three Waxahachie nonprofits.

Three agencies that benefit from UWWEC — Believing Restoration is Attainable, Common Ground Ministries and Waxahachie CARE — will share information about their organizations during the day of fellowship.

UWWEC Executive Director Kasey Cheshier encourages people to consider a donation in the pot of their favorite nonprofit who has the winning pitch.

First-place will receive half of the pot, while second and third place will receive one-quarter each. Community National Bank and Trust sponsored the event and has already contributed $500 toward the pot.

The free event will feature several food trucks on-site and Zero Dark:30 will provide the musical entertainment.

The Pop Up Giving event will take place from 3 — 5 p.m. at Railport Brewing Co., located at 405 W. Madison St. Waxahachie.
