Alice Gayle Jones Redeker, beloved mother, Grandma Alice and sister, passed away April 11, 2019. She was born August 15, 1941 in Spade, Texas, the daughter of W.B. Jones and Emma Lee Taylor Jones. A 1958 graduate of Spade High School, Mrs. Redeker had been very involved with the Friends of the Lamb County Library in Littlefield, Texas as well as the Littlefield Hospital Auxiliary. An avid seamstress, she loved fabric and sewing – particularly quilting. She loved to cook and published her own cookbook. With a strong faith in God, she was always ready to serve with a beautiful smile.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Vic Redeker in 2009. Survivors include her daughter, Tawny Schaffer & husband, Brett; son, Dan Walser & wife, Lori; grandchildren, Bethany & Ashton Schaffer, Maegan, Matthew & Marissa Walser; brothers, W.B. Jones, Jr & wife, Ann and David Jones & wife, Carol; stepson, Mike Redeker & wife, Linda; stepdaughter, Kathy Deardorff & husband, Michael; step grandchildren, Nick Redeker, Amy Thomas, Mariah & Cody Deardorff, Katie Conklin McAllister, Kelly Conklin Davis & Kari McDowell, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and step-great grandchildren.
Alice’s Memorial Service is 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the Cowboy Church of Ellis County, 2374 U.S. 287 Access Rd, Waxahachie, TX 75167.
