The Moral Courage Foundation is prepared to help Waxahachie and its surrounding communities "get ripped."

The Waxahachie-based nonprofit will host its annual shredding fundraiser from 9 a.m. — 1 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of the Brown Street Church of Christ, located at 2471 Brown Street in Waxahachie.

Individuals and businesses are encouraged to bring any papers and documents that need to be shredded. Suggested donation is $10 per box. The Foundation has secured the services of a shredding vendor that provides high-security, HIPAA-compliant shredding.

The mission of the Moral Courage Foundation is to inspire young people to live up to the moral standards of the Bible and to encourage young people to courageously promote those moral values in society.

The Foundation has awarded well over $200,000 in college scholarships to more than 60 deserving young people over the past 10 years. Proceeds from the shredding fundraiser will benefit the Foundation’s scholarship program.
