Every student who represented Waxahachie High within the Texas Association of Future Educator club advanced to the state contest.

The students from the Career and Technical Education student organization competed on Nov. 2 at the Region X South Contest in Mesquite.

Students who competed include:

Maddie Coulston and Jasmin Rangel — interactive bulletin board for elementary

On Nov. 15, Gracie Smith took the online Educational Leadership and Fundamentals of Education test and will advance to the state competition as well. 

Another TAFE student, Marnilee Tittle, served as a student judge at the regional contest.

The WHS TAFE club serves students enrolled in CTE courses aligned with the education and training career cluster. These students apply in-classroom and laboratory lesson experiences with hands-on activities and competitive events.

The state contest will be held in Allen from Feb. 28 through March 2.
