Midlothian Heritage continued its offensive onslaught on the football field with a 42-21 victory against Kilgore on Friday in the 4A bi-district championship.

It marked the third consecutive bi-district title won by the program in its three years fielding a varsity team.

The Jaguars ran 61 total plays in the victory with 22 of those going for a first down.

Senior quarterback Landon Ledbetter completed 17-of-27 passes for 276 yards and four touchdowns.

Jay Wilkerson was on the receiving end of three of those scores, as the junior wide receiver led the Jaguars with six catches for 167 yards. Langston Anderson (4-44) caught the other touchdown pass, while Dre Washington added five catches for 58 yards to his team-high 18 carries for 139 yards and two touchdowns.

Konner Jones again led the Heritage defense, recording 10 total tackle and 1.5 tackles-for-loss.

Leighton Smith recovered the lone Kilgore fumble on the evening.

The victory improved the Jaguars to 10-1 on the season.

Heritage, which is still ranked No. 7 in the AP 4A poll, now faces (6-5) Navasota at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the 4A DI Region III area championship. The game will be held at McLane Stadium on the campus of Baylor University.
