Waxahachie residents will soon have the chance to sink their teeth into one of Midlothian’s best-kept secrets. The Branded Burger Company is scheduled to open within the next month, offering its signature flavorful burgers and relaxed atmosphere.
Co-owner Misti Ivy stated she looks forward to the opportunity to introduce Waxahachie to the unique and flavorful menu offered by Branded Burger.
“Branded Burger stands out because of the quality of the food. Everything is freshly made, and the patties are hand cut every day," Misti said. "All the ingredients are fresh and the French fries and onion rings are hand cut and battered.”
Michael and Kelley Ivy founded the Branded Burger Company in Midlothian in 2013. Fewer than six months into their operation, Branded Burger was the winner of the Ellis County Burger Battle with their Smokey Bull Burger.
Misti stated that Michael and Kelly are assisting with the opening of the Waxahachie location, which is hoped to be one of several franchises. She noted the Waxahachie restaurant will serve as a model for other locations. The next possible site for Branded Burger is the Bishop Arts District in Oak Cliff, she disclosed.
Misti stated the staff hopes to offer patrons a memorable experience from the second they walk through the doors, noting the service compliments the food.
“Everything will be the exact same from the quality ingredients to the service they receive. Service is my number one thing, and it is key,” Misti said. “Our location is a little bit bigger, and we have more room to cook. We have a whole bar area where we are going to show all of the games on TVs. We also have a patio.”
The addition of the bar allows customers to come in and enjoy a game and an appetizer with their beverage. At the same time, Branded Burger will be a place for families to enjoy an evening out in a relaxed environment. The menu at the restaurant will also expand to include new items, such as deep fried pickles and salads.
Misti stated the current phase of construction has electrical work is being completed along with custom-made booths (that use pickup truck tailgates) being installed. She also noted several pieces of kitchen equipment haven’t arrived at the location yet and the walk-in cooler had to be custom made to fit the restaurant.
Branded Burger is currently hiring at this time. Anyone interested can contact Misti at 972-679-2809. Applications can be picked up at her office at 1515 E. Main Street in Waxahachie. People can also apply at the downtown Midlothian location at 100 N. 8th Street.
