A pair of double-doubles by Madison Ball and Macy Terry fueled the Maypearl Lady Panthers into the 3A regional tournament Tuesday.

Maypearl defeated Little River Academy at Groesbeck High School, 25-19, 25-21, 19-25, 25-20.

Ball recorded 17 kills and 25 digs in the victory, while Terry had 20 assists, 24 digs, six kills and three aces.

Marissa Stottlemire chipped in 12 kills to go with two blocks and Nanea Storm added 10 kills.

Meagan Price just missed a third double-double for the Lady Panthers with 26 assists and nine digs.

Carsen Young chipped in 13 digs and Kenzie Bolton added five kills, three digs and one block.

The victory improved Maypearl to 31-12 on the season and moves the Lady Panthers into the 3A Region 3 semifinals against (31-13) East Bernard at 6 p.m. Friday at Lobo Coliseum in Longview.

Both Maypearl and East Bernard are ranked No. 10 in the latest Texas Girls Association 3A poll.

The winner of the match faces either Troy or Central Heights at 4 p.m. Saturday at Lobo Coliseum.
