The semifinals are set in the Sooner Athletic Conference volleyball tournament and Southwestern Assemblies of God University will play on after sweeping Mid-America Christian University on Tuesday.
Round two of the tournament is Friday at Oklahoma City University with Southwestern Christian University and OCU playing the early match at 4:30 p.m. followed by SAGU against Texas Wesleyan at 7 p.m.
SAGU and TWU split in their two matches during conference play this season with SAGU recording a sweep on Sept. 18 and TWU then returning the favor on Oct. 30.
The two semifinal winners will play for the SAC tournament championship and an automatic bid into the NAIA national tournament at 1 p.m.Saturday.
In the quarterfinal match, SAGU was led by Kali Shaw with 17 kills, three assists, and nine digs.
Sophia Ivy had 42 assists, seven digs, and two assists while libero Celi Bruce recorded 23 digs. Outside hitter Kennedy Wiley had the game-winning kill to go along with 11 others and two digs. Suzanny Figueiredo finished with nine kills and seven digs.
