After a promising showing to begin the fall season, the Waxahachie Lady Indians golf team carded a 368 as a team to take first place Thursday at Canyon West Golf Club in Weatherford.

The Lady Indians were followed by Eaton High, which carded a 373.

Junior golfers Bylie Paris and Marisabel Garza led the way for the Lady Indians, shooting an 83 and 88, respectively, to finish in first and fourth individually. The two were followed by Olivia Toliver (98), Ana Herrin (99), Mackenzie Parks (105) and Kayli Nash (112).

The Lady Indians travel to Abilene for a two-day tournament at Diamondback and Maxwell Golf Clubs on Friday and Saturday to close out the fall season.
