Overnight closures will be in place throughout the week along Interstate-35E in Waxahachie from Sunday evening through Friday morning, according to a Texas Department of Transportation press release.

At 10 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, full overnight closures on southbound I-35E will be in effect until 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29 for crash cushion attenuator repair. Traffic will be required to take exit 408 and remain on the southbound frontage road through the intersection until they can merge back onto southbound I-35E at the next entrance ramp.

Meanwhile, the Texas Department of Transportation will also implement a traffic switch at I-35 and FM 387. Northbound lanes of I-35 will be closed at FM 387 throughout the week, starting at 10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29.

Northbound traffic will exit at FM 387 and remain on the frontage to the intersection of U.S. 77. Motorists will turn left at the intersection and continue northbound on U.S. 77 to the next northbound entrance ramp to I-35E.
